even though technically I am 'beneath' them?

On the grounds that the person who is 'above' me is a lazy, self-absorbed moron who genuinely does the amount of work in a week that I do in a day?

Over the past few weeks it's been worse than ever and she's hardly even been at her desk, in fact, as I type I have no idea where she is. Today I think she's dealth with perhaps 1 email. I realise I'm typing this message when I could be working but close to breaking point and needed to vent!!

An enquiry has come in to her that I suspect she is going to ask me to deal with- aibu to say actually.....no do it yourself!!!!!

Is she your manager / team leader / supervisor? If so, I think you'd be shooting yourself in the foot to just plain refuse to do work she set you, no matter what you think of her.

But maybe you need to raise your concerns about overall workload etc with the person above her?

If she is your direct manager then you probably should do it.

HOWEVER, I have just ended up working with one of these self centred, lazy buggers and completely sympathise with you. I'm 7 months pregnant and could do more work than him in an hour, than he could in 3.

I only got away with not doing what he wanted me to do as he was agency (long term temp contract) and I had been setting my own work load since I've been there, which my upper management team were quite happy with.
