I have lost a vital disc from my Pacey show boxset!

Sad

About once a year i get my dawson's creek Pacey show boxset out and regress with my duvet and a packet of mcvities plain chocolate digestives. Last night i finished disc three of season 3 and was looking forward to starting in on disc 4 tonight because that's the disc where pacey and joey finally realise what the whole show is about.

But it's missing. I have searched my room, the living room, the dc's dvds, behind all the units, under my bed. It's nowhere to be found.

I had a brainwave and remembered that netflix had dawsons creek the pacey shown on there so i dis a search and they dont have it any more!

I'm gutted. Sad

But doesn't pacey finish the white picket fence when her and Dawson break up?

The wall! My mum visited Wilmington and sent me a picture of that wall....

BabyGoose · 04/09/2014 22:21

Go online and buy the full set of, "Gilmore Girls" to ease your pain.

nothruroad · 04/09/2014 22:23

Well I know what boxset I'm watching over the autumn then. I love Pacey. I want a man to buy me a wall and watch me sleep. Sigh.

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:24

The wall! My mum visited Wilmington and sent me a picture of that wall.

Wow! I'd love to go there.

Not sure about the fence. Pacey hasnt finished it yet but you could be right.

I'm on the episode where he realises he loves her. He watches her sleep (non creepy) at the BnB and you see it on his (non tights head Hmm) face that he knows and he knows what that means for everyone.

I also thought that Dawson started the fence and Pacey finished it along with the rest of the Potter B&B. Swoon!

The bit where he watches her while she sleeps after Grams talks about her dh. I would love a Grams as well as a Pacey.

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:29

Yes i'd love a grams (she's telling her stories right now) and a jack.

DiaDuit - the tourist info centre in Wilmington actually has a handout that has filming locations for iconic scenes that you can visit. Not only from Dawson's Creek but also from One Tree Hill! Currently wedged in my America map awaiting the road trip I planned and never happened..... Hopefully will be our honeymoon!

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:31

Ooh lisa! What a fab honeymoon that would be. I hope you get to do it.

The wall!! I had forgotten about the wall. Could he be any more perfect, really?! Really going to have to start watching again next week.

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:38

Do you know what i love about the pacey show, everytime i watch it, i forget what happens (apart from the big bits) so it's like watching it for the first time each time. Obviously when i see it, i remember but its really exciting realising all over again.

And Dawson gets more hateful each time i watch Hmm

Oh I love the pacey show! I bought the box set at uni, well series three onwards.
When I handed my dissertation in I was so exhausted from all night era but over tired so I laid in my bed and watched 8 episodes back to back.

Love the supermarket episode, and the aunties house, and the 'I remember everything' and the final episodes

girliefriend · 04/09/2014 22:40

Damn you all - I really want the box set now! It's £43 - I can justify spending that right?

God Pacey was my first true love, although can't think of Dawsons Creek without thinking of my mum insisting on calling it Dawsons Crack - every single episode Grin

Happy memories Smile

My boys have a nasty habit of taking a Dvd out of the player and putting the disc, in the box of the next film they want to watch. Be worth checking every box.
Can definitely recommend Fringe. Several series of Joshua Jackson at his best!

FatimaLovesBread · 04/09/2014 22:43

Girliefriend - don't bother with series one and two that's the Dawson show, it starts to get really good I.e. Pacey show in series three Grin

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:47

Girliefriend sign up to amazon instant prime. 30 day free trial and has all the series. I'm watching it right now.

hedwig i will check the DC's boxes. I did find a loose harry potter disc earlier so maybe that is a clue?!

When DC was first on TV i stopped watching at some point and went and beed a real teen with a real non pacey like boyfriend so i had never seen the final series and didnt know anything about Jen or whether joey and pacey made it etc. my sister had seen it all and when i got my boxset she kept texting me asking if i'd gotten to X part yet. I ended up having to delete all her messages before reading so as not to see any spoilers. She couldnt hold her water! Grin

Does anyone else cry buckets at the finale?

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:51

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:53

I never saw the final episode either - don't spoil it for me!!

Not sure I could watch all the episodes in 30 days - I have a job and daughter and stuff..... hmm I need to break my leg or something Wink

girliefriend · 04/09/2014 22:56

I do remember getting very frustrated whilst waiting for Joey and Pacey to DTD!! Didn't they go off in a boat together and sleep in separate bunks or some such rubbish, what is wrong with that woman?!!

DiaDuit · 04/09/2014 22:59

No i wont spoil it for you! That would be so cruel.

Yes she spent the summer alone with pacey on a boat and didnt touch him??? Strange woman.

I periodically watch the whole lot. I am pleased to know I'm not the only one!

I love the episode after the roadside kiss, the one where the girls have a sleepover and Pacey and Dawson go camping.

The supermarket one is great as well though.

When the original run was on tv, I stopped watching at the beginning of series five I think, so it was nice when the DVDs came out to be able to watch it all in one go.

I'm 30 now and it's my regression series. Grin

bedraggledmumoftwo · 05/09/2014 06:00

I'm 34, so i was probably too old even when it first started, but i cried at it all the time!

i had forgotten about the wall. And them sailing off into the sunset...

saintlyjimjams · 05/09/2014 08:04

34? Youngling. I'm 43 and watched it when it first came out

amenicycinema · 05/09/2014 08:05

I've been watching "the pacey show" again for months now too! hadn't seen any of it since first time around and so clearly remember watching the first episode on tv and knowing i was going to love it all!

on season 5 episode 13 and not going to be happy when I finish them all. started on Netflix but moved to YouTube - each episode is on there separately but not amazing quality.
