To ask DH to stop travelling overseas? 36 weeks with 4th DC, full time mum and feeling shattered!

DH says he still has 2 or 3 more European overseas trips to make before my due date. He is usually away for 2-4 nights.

I'm starting to feel really worried and quite down when he is away. I struggle with having the DC all day (eldest 6) and doing bath bedtime alone.

I think it's time for him to stop travelling. AIBU to insist?

I take my hat off to you op. I only have 1 dd and a DW who travels a lot. Granted I work part time too but it is VERY hard just doing it all yourself . Yanbu at all, I hope you don't have to manage on your own till your due date.

OP, your DH needs a wakeup call. I confiscated DH's passport at about 36 weeks both times, and so did a friend (although her DH incurred her wrath and mine by sneaking in "one more trip", but she did at least have the nanny to help with dc1 as they kept her on through friends mat leave).

He can send someone else and/or join remotely - everyone will understand that there is a limit to how far from home you can be in those last few weeks. Or they do in our industry, at least.
