To think dss shouldn't be playing his guitar?

DSS is 18. Just done A levels and has been given a guitar as a present.

Now I am all for this but he plays it constantly. The din is awful and it's the same song over and over. When he's playing I have to yell to talk to younger dd, can't watch tv , make phone calls or anything. I literally feel a prisoner in my own home!

Aibu? DSS thinks I certainly am!

Hoover directly outside his room first thing in the morning.

Give him a taste of his own medicine Smile

We don't have a shed unfortunately. It is a tiny house - was originally a 2 up 2 down but we have a loft conversion where dss hibernates. Unfortunately this means he can effectively lock himself in his room which isn't great when pleading with him re guitar!

Isolate which trip switch is for the attic sockets and switch it off.

He either uses headphones or the electricity goes off.

And don't put up with crap.if one member of the family is making another member cry- then do something about it!

I feel for you, Dh plays the guitar and drives me nuts when learning a new song as its the same song/part of song over and over and over. He is considerate though and generally plays it upstairs quietly I think I'd kill him if he played it loudly in the Iiving room.

You need to tell your DSS that he either wears the headphones or you'll take the amp. If he doesn't listen then take the amp away or cut the plug off so he can't use it (but then I'm mean).
