I took my DC to a theme park yesterday and there was a bouncy castle for children under 1m,about 10m away from a bouncy castle for children over 1m. DD aged 2 had the small one to herself when two children aged at least 8 and therefore much bigger than one metre launched themselves on doing flips and sending DD flying. There was no staff member measuring for tha castle, but there was for the one with minimum height restrictions.
Similarly, there was a soft play area for DC under 5. DD went down a slide and I followed and a child of at least 9/10 yrs old fell from climbing over a net wall (which wasn't intended for climbing on) and landed on my leg. If it had beensseconds earlier he would've landed on DDs head and could feasibly have broken her neck as he came from quite a height. Yet the soft play area where he was allowed (opposite the toddler one) had a member of staff measuring entrants and DD wasn't allowed in even when accompanied
AIBU to think that breaking maximum height/age restrictions can be just as/more dangerous than breaking minimum ones and that staff should man such areas equally?
