I stumbled upon a BsB mix on YouTube and have been listening to it for the last few hours. No kids yet, dp is working late so there are no witnesses.

The year is 1998, I'm 10 years old and my heart belongs to Nick Carter.

I went to see them in April this year and they were fab!!

I actually met another boy band of the same era just a month later, on a meet and greet.

But BB were very good, third time I've seen them.

Enjoy

Yanbu OP!

I won't tell you how old I was, but younger than pps. And I was definitely more of an A1 fan, I was devastated when I found out Ben was gay!

GroupieGirl · 15/08/2014 18:09

I'M NOT ALONE!

I feel like I've finally found my quiche. ;) pinklady I was there too it was my fourth but might have been a bit drunk...

pinklady1107 · 15/08/2014 18:55

Weren't they good groupie girl? The acoustic set they played was amazing!!

I actually never liked them, I saw them in 2012 with my absolute all time idols, I've never stopped loving, still have a framed poster up at the top of my stairs!!
I digress yes so saw them then, twice, and became a fan. Have enjoyed their come back immensely and they are an added bonus to the real love of my boy band obsession lol.

Nick carter and Jordan knight have just released a single as a collaboration together.

Xx

Well I'm pretty ancient (I was 26 in 1998), and I wouldn't know the members of BSBs if I fell over them in Asda but "As Long As You Love Me" was one of our absolute favourite tracks to blast out near the end of a party or piss up when everyone was bladdered and feeling soppy. "Backstreet's Back" would be blasted at the start, when we were capable of dancing Grin.

Aaaah - memories of my carefree twenties.

CrapBag · 15/08/2014 20:45

I used to love them. Brian was my favourite. And I got to see them in concert when I was 15. Grin

I do like Weird Al Yankovic's EBay song done to the tune of I Want it That Way.

Bigbottomtwirl · 15/08/2014 21:07

Brian was my favourite!! I really thought I was going to marry him.

ThisFenceIsComfy · 15/08/2014 21:09

I learnt the dance to Everybody. I can still cracking out some of the moves now.

ddubsgirl77 · 15/08/2014 22:20

Saw them live with nkotb still not a fan tho give me nkotb any day :D

pinklady1107 · 16/08/2014 10:36

Dddubs girl did you see this last tour?
Hammersmith second night blew me away.

I was lucky did three nights and meet and greet. Nothing beats the boys!! Nice to meet another fan :-)

TOADfan · 16/08/2014 11:37

I am a major BsB fan reminds me of primary school best friend.

I have never been embarassed about this though. I also have a1, nsync, b*witched, s club, busted, steps, aromic kitten, spice girls and westlife etc on my mp3 player.

Cheesy pop was the days.

Saw bsb, steps, westlife, mcbusted, atomic kitten, b*switched in concert the last few years. Next to come S Club 7!!!

someonestolemynick · 16/08/2014 14:07

Oh wow, so I'm not alone...yay.

Listening back I realised just how good some of their stuff is (I want it that way, the call) and how cheesy some of their other (all I have to give).

I've never actually seen them live (must remedy that before Kevin turns 50 :) )

pinklady you met the new kids?!
I am green with envy Envy
Me and my friend saw them at Manchester, loved it.
Also saw them with BSB, that was a great show (the entire concert is on YouTube).

Thisvehicleisreversing · 16/08/2014 14:44

Oh NKOTB were the boy band for me

Totally adored Jon (god knows why, he's the least attractive and couldn't dance for shit)

I was going to marry him, unlikely now as he's gay.

Saw them at Birmingham NEC in 1991. Best. Day. Ever.

TurquoiseCat · 16/08/2014 14:47

Ah was my favourite, still is to be honest!

I was a member of the backstreet boys fan club (was 13 in 98) and my brother used to wind me up by calling them the basket case boys Hmm

Whiskwarrior · 16/08/2014 14:50

I was going to marry him, unlikely now as he's gay.

Shock How did I miss this? When did he come out? I had quite the crush on Jordan myself.

NKOTB were on the other night too. DD's face was a picture Grin

Pardon me?
Jon was (and indeed is) by far the best looking new kid. And you are sadly deluding yourself with your make believe nuptials. Jon would have married me and been very un-gay had he only have spotted me aged 13 at Wembley.
Grin
He would have been mesmerised by my dungarees shorts, bumbag and whole can of Elnette, let me reassure you :)

Thisvehicleisreversing · 16/08/2014 15:22

Excuse me but I looked so much better with my super high ponytail, NKOTB Tshirt with the sleeves rolled right up, and denim hot pants over thick navy tights.

Jon would only have eyes for me. And not that fucking slag Tiffany!

raffle · 16/08/2014 15:36

Bhahahaha, oh how I hated her Grin

Thisvehicleisreversing · 16/08/2014 15:38

I still irrationally hate her now. I can't hear her song without wanting to scream.

beccajoh · 16/08/2014 15:43

YY to all of the above, although I was 19 in 1998Blush. Once a boyband fan, always a boyband fan I think. I'm partial to a bit of 1D

ddubsgirl77 · 16/08/2014 16:15

Pinklady sadly no I had to sell my tix as husband was in st guys waiting to have an op :( I was gutted :( been to all other tours and met the guys at hmv in 2008 and met jon on way to underground first time they did hammersmith

pinklady1107 · 17/08/2014 21:17
