To make cupcakes in a turd shape?

DS is having a bug-themed party in September. I really want to make cupcakes that look like turds, with raisin 'flies'. MIL thinks that the other parents (5 invited from nursery, plus family who Tbh know what I'm like-they attended a random Christmas lunch I decided to host in July last year!) may be offended? What do you think?

Can I just add, MIL found the idea hilarious...this is just about the other parents!

This lady's things always look really nice Mrs Peboryon - if you emailed her she might do you a cheaper bag of just ladybirds? Or you could get your older kids if you have any to do it with some red icing and some black food colouring and a paintbrush?
