Everyone seems to think I'm being Ridicolous and of course it is only the unknown which is worrying me but we currently live next to Sutton, so a big busy place and are moving to burgess hill ( very rural from what I've seen ) next month and I'm pretty scared!
Anyone from burgess hill or surrounding area that can reassure me slightly?

Nothing wrong with Burgess Hill - I have several friends who've lived there for years, and I visit regularly. It's 10 mins on the train to the fleshpots of Brighton. There are great delivery Chinese and Indian food places, a wonderful Italian restaurant (the name escapes me right now but it's at the end of Royal George Road, although not actually IN that road), shopping is reasonable, there's a great, old fashioned butchers, and it's within easy reach of the countryside. Close to Gatwick on the train, about 50 mins away from London ditto.

If I ever move back to Sussex, I think BH is probably where I'd end up.

I've been to that Italian. Don't know burgess Hill well enough to know roads but know where it is to drive to lol.

I live in South crawley. It has its bad parts as does every town. Only 3 out of 6 secondary schools I would send my kids to (mine not being one of them). We currently live 2 mins walk from one. But will be moving next year. Not too far I hope.

Waves to fellow Crawley peeps Grin

I moved to Crawley from Brighton 7 months ago - nowt wrong with Crawley Grin

Waves to Crawley people. I'm north of Crawley in a town with a Waitrose (twirls and preens). Nothing much else mind Grin unless you like charity shops and estate agents. OP there is massive building going on in my neck of the woods plus a new primary school. We are very RH and in Surrey dontchaknow.

I have friends in Burgess Hill. oK not centre of the universe but lovely places near by and it's OK to get normal shopping there. To be Scared seems a bit extreme.

Horsham is nice, particularly the bit round past Millais.

Sorry I meant to say I was joking about Crawley being scary! I think it's fine. I live in a little town nearby :)
