To feel relieved and grateful that Obama has sanctioned combat and direct aid to help the Yazidis

Credit also to Britain and France to drop supplies, but without US air strikes that would not be sufficient to save the Yazidis.

Hope some other countries come in soon to offer help as well.

Obama is proving to be one ofmthe better and moremcourageousmUS presidents as he has been dealt a difficult hand.

YANBU to the first two sentences - I've got a bit confused in terms of the timeframe but I'm surprised it took so long for them to drop supplies (I can see that a decision about airstrikes might take longer). I can't say about the last part though as I haven't been following US politics all that closely during his presidency.

Glad to hear that tens of thousands of Yazidi have been rescued as well, although I believe many are still there.

If Obama was courageous he might have slightly more to say to Israel about their abhorrent behaviour, but instead he allows his public to be completely brainwashed by one sided propaganda and continues to fund unlawful killing.

The humanitarian aid that is being sent to Iraq is the very least we should expect from the worlds most powerful country, and let's be honest, he isn't trying to defeat IS(IS) just out of the goodness of his heart.

Maybe not, but we can still be glad he's doing it...

I just can't even read about it any more. It's been utterly heartbreaking and the photos...

I'm so glad something is being done at last. Iraq used to be such an amazing and civilized country. I feel so sorry for the people who had been affected in such an awful way.
