to say no to bunk beds?

we have two DSs, they are nearly 4 and 7. they share a room, but are now asking for bunk beds. DP things they are fun and it's a great plan.
I don't want them - mostly for the trickyness of changing sheets, finding things etc. But also I think that they are kind of unfriendly or something because they can't see each other. I never had them but as a child never liked being on the bottom bunk and just looking at the underneath of a bed so am probably influenced by that.

So, aibu to say no because they're a pita for me, or should I relent cos they are such fun?

I found it harder to have a cuddle in bed with my children when they had bunk beds. I wish we hadn't had them tbh. Now we have gone back to singles after having bunks for years and I much prefer them and so do they.

I loathe bunkbeds. I had them as child and used to hit my head on the ceiling whenever I went up or down the ladder. YANBU!

My two have a storage bunk with a proper staircase up the side, it's from sleepland beds and they love it. The steps double as storage compartments making it amazing for squirreling away crap. Fabulous.

I find making my double bed harder than making DSs single bunk bed Confused maybe I'm doing it wrong?

We have one even though I have no other children because DS likes being up high.

I think he might be spiderman

Don't change the sheets..?
I miss cuddles with dc1, I'm not going up that high to do them! We have no choice though. If I had room I'd split the beds (ideally into two rooms!)
I find all sorts when I do change the top one.

Oh, and get someone to assemble them for you.
