If these people (the Yazidis, an offshoot of the Zoroastrian religion) are killed, there will be no more of them in Iraq and they have been there for centuries (far longer than Islam). So the ISIS Muslims will have ethnically cleansed 40,000 people who have been in Iraq for centuries. I find this appalling, disgraceful and abomination against humanity.

Where is the global outrage? Where are the protest marches against this ethnic cleansing? Why hasn't Warsi spoken out against what is being done in the name of her religion?

I'm bloody outraged, like I am when Christians are persecuted eg in Egypt and no-one gives a damn. But I'm also pretty downtrodden and defeated by the things that people think are right in this world - the ongoing persecution of Israel, the ongoing persecution by Israel, Crimea, Ukraine and Mr Putin and all the rest. Someone needs to put up their hand and quietly say 'Stop' and we all need to back them. I don't care what your political grievance is, the world's too small and I'm too tired, to give it priority. Lets show some respect for each other, and stop causing harm.

Isis are evil. There are videos of then lining up and killing people. Muslims. Just not the sane narrow minded extreme only our way is right sect. These same people are committing atrocities in Syria. But then they were rebels with a just cause Confused.

The whole world has gone fucking mad. It doesn't't make Israel less terrible.

Iran does care (of only to protect themselves) but we haven't exactly helped them to be in a strong position have we?

I don't want to post links as like the Gaza pics they are horrific but a quick Google will show you.

That's frightening and horrible. The whole world seems to be in a mess and are any governments doing anything to help them?

The world has gone quite mad

The critical difference is that our government isn't to blame for Isis I disagree with that, we've been meddling in the Middle East for a century, and the blood is firmly on the UKs hands. Along with France we carved up the region without a care for the inhabitants. Partitioned Palestine despite the whole region objecting. We also funded and trained Al Qaeda and trashed Iraq with not a thought given to how to build the nation after. The UK, France and the US are all responsible for the absolutely clusterfuck in the region now.

But what do we do now? We've proven time and time again that we will only make a total shit of everything for our own ends. At best we might be able to force a sort of temporary truce with a very expensive campaign costing huge numbers of lives but I feel that it will not resolve the problems in the region, it'll just delay the inevitable.

The Sykes-Picot lines should never have been implemented, Israel should not have been formed in that space at that time, the region should have been allowed to draw its own boundaries and the native people decide their future. Yes it would have been very vicious and brutal just as our Western Wars were, but it has been constantly bloody since and if it really blows up now a rogue state could turn whole nations to glass, something that wasn't possible 100 years ago.

I just despair for all the children across this world, the innocents borne into this. When you stop and think about It for all we have achieved the world is really pretty shit for the majority of the inhabitants.

YANBU OP and a demonstration of why governments and public bodies must take the humanitarian line and not rush to judgment.

Small good news: the UN have managed to get some of the Yazidis out.

Presumably many still there, and Christians still being forced out of towns elsewhere.
