What MPs think about Gaza - WIBU to post replies on the Internet?

Just that really. My mum wrote to her MP to voice her concerns about Gaza and received a page of such fence-sittery waffle I'm now very curious to know what other people's replies have been.

I want to see a place on the Internet where constituents who've written to their MPs can share what they've received back (if anything).

Since there is no sign of parliament being recalled for a public debate on the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, would it be unreasonable for the public to be able to find out what MPs positions are?

I suppose I'm really asking: would it be legal?

Course it would be legal, and, a great idea for a website. No idea how you would go about it though.... Would be great if you could search by topic or mp or party...

I think that's a brilliant idea. I even think that you might be able to find people /organisations willing to contribute to funding it. I no longer bother to write to my MP because he (or his intern?) replies with some formulaic, party-line-yet-anodine shite that suggests he really can't be arsed with the views of his constituents. So much for democracy, eh? My colleague (admittedly rather akin to a dog with a bone when he feels strongly about something, but possessing views that are broadly commensurate with those of most Independent / Guardian readers) has actually been told by his Tory MP that he (MP) will no longer read or reply to his letters. This MP, by the way, is someone who (apparently unwittingly) overclaimed expenses for heating his business, claiming that they were for his home. He seems to think he can stick two fingers up at the electorate. There isn't even the semblance of democracy any more.

Their personal responses and opinions should be widely known, absolutely.

Sir Peter Bottomley MP nearly made me faint as he turned out to be against the disproportionate actions of Israel. I assumed as a Tory he'd be an apologist.
