...to be upset at not getting a job....PURELY because of a personality test?

I knew I was front runner. My interview went over by an HOUR and there was much talk of my first few projects etc. there was also joshing about how only a weirdo would fail the personality test, and not to worry etc.
oh, and haha, once somebody did fail it and HR vetoed the hire.

Guess what....a couple of weeks later I find out I was just as odd! They're not offering me the job because if that one test.

I'm so mad. And embarrassed.

This happened to me too, it was for Build a Bear. (I was desperate for any employment!)
I was told that the personality test was "just to check you're not a psycho"
The test contained questions like "On a scale of 1-5, Do you think people are good" their computer also broke every few minutes so I may not have even finished it!
I got a very sheepish call from the Manager saying I came out as "not recommended" and that they weren't allowed to offer me the job.

To be honest, it's made a good story about how horrible job seeking was and I didn't have to work at Build a Bear. So in my book that's a double win and I got a lovely job eventually where I'm not contractually obliged to wear beige or smile all the time!

( I did get to stuff a few bears and get to see the back room where they kept a box of exploded overstuffed bears)

Yeah, I wouldn't have minded but I was APPROACHED in the first place.
