...to leave sleeping baby in a dirty nappy?

Said baby is a week old and EBF so the dirty nappies are those watery ones that soak in anyway.

She's been asleep nearly 3 hours so should wake up in a bit anyway.

Aibu to just leave her if she's sleeping soundly?

I always change if it's a poo, and she wakes up for them anyway. But otherwise, pee, I let her sleep until she wakes up.

But honestly, I leave her to sleep in her crib and don't check her diaper while she sleeps. But once she wakes up, it gets changed.

She has not gotten a diaper rash yet.

Depends on baby, one of mine would be red raw if not changed instantly. He was EBF for nearly a year. I have no idea why his nappies were so toxic. He is a big strapping bloke now and I threaten to joke with girls friends about his very sensitive bottom. He doesn't think its funny. His brothers were made of sterner stuff.

Oh my goodness no, I wouldn't wake her! We used to change DS in the night and it used to wake him up so much, the nights were terrible. Deciding to stop changing him was the best move ever, he barely wakes to feed now. Not even a hint of nappy rash. EBF. Other stupid things we did: burping him after night time feeds. Just no. Smile
