Week two summer holidays. We've been out and done things every day and done lots at home. She's very tired and has sports lesson this afternoon. She's five.

She just wants to watch tv this morning but I feel really guilty that not doing something interesting or fun with her.

So aibu to just let her?

I don't see why not I'm watching tv all morning as could also do with some down time. One morning won't do any harm

Just let her, it doesn't matter.

You don't need permission.

It's just one morning, she'll be fine. Don't worry.

My two have been watching Spiderman and his amazing friends (from the 80's) on Dailymotion for days now in the morning. It's HILARIOUS.

Okay thanks. Think it's just I've always had a thing that tv isn't allowed in the daytime. We're now watching commonwealth games so all happy

Sometimes you all need a bit of downtime. If she wants a bit of time to recharge her batteries after a seemingly busy couple of weeks then that's fine and letting her watch a few hours o TV is no issue.

Kids can get very easily over tired and its not particularly fun to deal with.

I must admit, if I ever just want to finish a bit of washing up or Hoover the stairs etc then putting the telly on is great. I can do jobs and keep a close eye at the same time
