AIBU?

To want to be able to buy an item in a shop without giving my name and address?

This has happened three times this weekend. White company, tk maxx and white stuff suddenly don't seem to be able to let you just pay at the till without giving them your name and address. This is for a straightforward purchase, not an exchange or return.

I really find it unnecessary and intrusive, plus it holds the bloody queue up. Going to politely decline to give it from now on.

Hate this too, especially as. I have a strange house name I have to spell each time.
My brother kindly bought me a coffee from Starbucks the other day before bidding me goodbye in Kensington.
I forgot that the cup had ROBERT written on the side in big letters. No wonder I was getting funny looks.
I like the 'Fire' idea. But they might spit in my frappucino.

Think of the possibilities for Starbucks though

Lady Garden
Itchy Minge
Fanjolina
Fire
Flood

Ha! I can just imagine that. Poor kid on the till would probably be called Derek, and on work experience. You can just imagine his face falling.

How about:

Nonee D'Toknow

For shops that is - a bit tricky for Starbucks.
