We were talking about having a baby and he said when I've had my blood he'll put a son in me. What if it's a girl? He hasn't even considered the possibility. Aibu to worry about his wording/attitude?

Depends, OP. Sorry for your loss, by the way. I think maybe you need to look at this differently; is he just a realist about bringing women into the world as it is?

TravellingToad · 23/07/2014 04:28

Nobody would be "putting a boy in me" after saying that....

rubyslippers · 23/07/2014 05:18

That's a very bizarre thing to say

Yes I would probe a little further - you don't get to pick the sex just by saying it

His wording is weird

Sorry ... I would be very Hmm

happyzapper · 23/07/2014 05:31

If he has said its a boy then im pretty sure he will be dissapointed . But remind him that you cant control the sex of your child

Ilovenewts · 23/07/2014 06:10

Is he on the set of game of thrones ?

What an odd thing to say ....

ScrambledEggAndToast · 23/07/2014 07:04

If my DP said that to me then he wouldn't be putting anything in me for quite some time. How rude Shock I think you need a serious talk about both of your views regarding children and how important gender is.

Mumof3xox · 23/07/2014 07:05

Is it a cultural thing?

I know in some cultures boys can be valued more?

adsy · 23/07/2014 07:07

when I've had my blood what does that mean??

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 23/07/2014 07:11

Um, what?

Do they call you khaleesi?

Did I get it? Did I get the thing?

Batmansbuttocks · 23/07/2014 07:18

Nice try. 2/10.

lucidlady · 23/07/2014 07:20

Blood = period, maybe?

Either way it is an odd thing to say.

adsy · 23/07/2014 07:25

Why is tortoise sorry for OP's loss?
Loss of what? Her faculties?

MrsBoldon · 23/07/2014 07:27

(Whispers in Sheffield accent) winters coming..

littlewhitebag · 23/07/2014 07:28

I assume OP means when she has finished her period they will start trying to conceive. I don't think there has been any loss - except menstrual blood perhaps.

Her DH sounds like an arse.

fluffyraggies · 23/07/2014 07:28

The OPs language sounds as if it stems from a different culture. OP is there pressure on you from wider family to produce sons?

MrsWinnibago · 23/07/2014 07:35

I don't think this OP is for real folks.

HoneyDragon · 23/07/2014 07:40

Have you considered adoption? You don't have to have a human baby. What about dragons?

fluffyraggies · 23/07/2014 07:42

Oh OK.

I tend to take things at face value.

ClashCityRocker · 23/07/2014 07:47

There's also a good line in shadow babies. They come out as fully grown adults though, and have slight killing tendencies.

ChanelCristalle · 23/07/2014 07:53

I don't understand that expression, after you've had blood? what does that mean? do you mean after your next period ? Confused

Mumof3xox · 23/07/2014 07:55

I think that's what it means
