I know I'm not. Dora the Explorer is the most annoying show. Even more annoying than Mike the Knight

WTF is this show? Hmm

It's like a sodding computer game. And Swiper? Eh?

I would honestly rather watch three hours of Mike the Little Shit Knight than this.

I hate my MIL for buying this DVD.

Apparently kids tv give me either great joy or great rage. ConfusedSmile

HaroldLloyd · 17/07/2014 21:53

Sarah i LOVE the milkshake dance. It's so painfully embarrassing.

They dance like they are on drugs and dying on the inside - they never made the cut for s club juniors Sad

PseudoBadger · 17/07/2014 22:16

What about the Cartoonito Wake Up Wind Up at fucking 6am?!

Aciderwouldbenice · 17/07/2014 22:16

Bubble guppies - I run to the remote, hate hate it and the shouting

Those dancers on nick jr, 5 of them and they look like a wannabe Steps. There is a blonde girl who wears a tiny dress or a tiny shirt and does these simpering/flirty dance moves and facial expressions. I want to stab her with a fork.

DP bitterly regrets the day he came home with a Dora 'annual' for DD that he found in a secondhand book shop for 70p. Pages and pages of tedious Dora detail- Boots the monkey's fav toy, the complex family network, the psychology of Swiper, all the many critters and star things named and explained in great detail.

We have been forced to read this satanic Dora bible to DD on a daily basis ever since. Give me strength.

Uptheairymountain · 17/07/2014 22:35

No, no, no - Bing is the worst children's programme ever; especially that stupid orange creature at the end saying everything eg eating cake/playing with toys/going on the swing is a Bing thing.

Bing looks like a voodoo doll rabbit. Flop looks like Sooty.

wheresthelight · 17/07/2014 22:52

Ohhh I saw an episode of bing this week...people get uoin arms about Enid bBlyton and Golly dolls but that bizarre Rabbit is allowed??? How the hell does that happen?

wheresthelight · 17/07/2014 22:52

Up in (bloody autocorrect)

Devora · 17/07/2014 23:04

Waybuloo = feck off hippies.

Fannydabbydozey · 17/07/2014 23:11

No one has mentioned lazy town. I fins sporticus snotty, fattist and deeply creepy...

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 17/07/2014 23:22

Sportacus gets a pass for two brilliant episodes -- one where Robbie Rotten disguises himself as Sportacus and they get into a big public dispute ("I'm Sportacus!" "No, I'm Sportacus!") and another one where there's been some shenanigans with an election and they break into the new Mayor's office to reveal that he is... ta-da... a puppet! (cue shocked reactions to the idea of a puppet as Mayor...).

Also worth noting that the villain is well fit not fat in the slightest whereas several of the goodies are, so it's not really fattist as such.

MapofTassie · 17/07/2014 23:23

No-one has mentioned Mouk...
That and Rastamouse gives me the rage.
You should hear my neighbour and I ranting about them!

SuchSweetSorrow · 17/07/2014 23:35

I love topsy and tim as it keeps my own twins quiet. Hate bloody rastamouse and waybuloo. Also, that pop shop thing at the weekends is just horrendously embarrassing

irishe · 17/07/2014 23:56

Dora rocks in this house, my 2 year old loves her. One of her first words was excitedly shouting "map" at the tv. I know this sounds bad, like she spent hours in front of the tv, she didn't, but this was the only show she watched at first and it had a big impression. I am sad that her love seems to be shifting to peppa pig, who is moany and whiney and definitely not a good example of girl power!

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 18/07/2014 00:02

Dora isn't a great example of girl power either in that her adventures generally revolve around "girly" story, dance, music, etc. while her cousin Diego gets to do the "manly" science-themed stuff. But she's better than most.

A lot of Peppa Pig is nicely subversive if you pay attention; I rather enjoy it.

GoshAnneGorilla · 18/07/2014 00:11

Glad Me Too has been mentioned, as it is atrocious.

However does no one detest the Numberjacks? It's dire.

Also bad: pretty much any children's programme from Canada. Sanctions should be put in place until they cease making Crap like Doodlebug, Timothy goes to school and other horrors.

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 18/07/2014 00:56

I like The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That (is that Canadian?)

That Pop shop programme at the weekend is crap, with Carrie just simpering at the camera.

I hate Grandpa in my Pocket. Everything about it is terrible. Are the new two meant to be siblings?

ithoughtofitfirst · 18/07/2014 08:48

OH MY GOD!! I'VE JUST REMEMBERED.... Carrie and Dave's POP shop

(which I thought said farm shop for weeks and never questioned why it never featured anything to do with farms)

Makes me CRINGE SO HARD I turn inside out, slide down the stairs of my building and into the drain outside OR puke all over myself. Sometimes both.

YANAgurl1973 · 18/07/2014 09:35

Band on nickjr are the go go gos. They give me the rage :/ surprised no one has mentioned rhyme rocket and that hideous gurning man :(

Justagirlintheworld · 18/07/2014 10:17

Carrie and David's pop shop.
The Tweenies.
Me Too esp Granny Murray.
Pocket and Sweet off Balamory.

PC shite.

I like The Lingo Show (?) as when it comes on they say something almost like "testicle". Always makes me laugh as we now randomly say it to one another in the accent (adults not kids).
