To think I've permanently damaged my knee?

Last year, ie 2013, I gained 4 stone. I was massive pretty obese (14 and a half stone at my heaviest) and I'm 5'2.

There were lots of things that pushed me to lose it (last summers heat wave wasn't pretty) but my knee was agony. I could barely walk, Im not kidding.

4 and a half stone down now and I'm back to a normal weight.

From time to time that knee still aches.

Have I permanently damaged myself through being a lardarse?

Could you do a 'duck walk' without pain?

If not, it may well be a meniscus problem.
Physios, apart from anything else, have forgotten more about anatomy than most drs have ever knows (I say this as a dr Wink) and will be able to examine you very thoroughly.

Get registered with a GP

A physio hasn't got x-ray vision though so unless you have an MRI done no one can tell what's wrong.

I would go to GP and be referred for scan if possible and then dependent on the result they might send you for physio or whatever.

I am currently recovering very very slowly from a knee operation.

I urge you to get it sorted
