This has got to be the best news I have heard for years! The damage he has done to the education system and the way he has treated teachers over the last few years have made me start to hate the job I used to love.

I'm not saying his successor will be any better but the optimist in me is hoping it can't get any worse! Only time will tell, I suppose but I know for one thing, I am so happy to see the back of this man!

I have no idea who his replacement is and I have no idea what a chief whip is seriously how far up its own arse is that job title? But as he is no longer in charge of fucking stuff up in schools I can do my happy dance

Nothing is going to change. Nicky Morgan has been put in place as a window dressing electioneering dummy who will just be a sock puppet for Gove in absentia. All these women are being promoted to make the Tories more electable, and I think it's going to work. Sad

How is putting more women in going to make them more re-electable?

pointythings · 15/07/2014 13:23

Nousername the Tories have (rightly) been vilified for having a cabinet full of middle-aged white blokes. Now there's an election on the horizon it's suddenly all 'send in the girls'. Polls show that the Tories are doing badly with female voters, because a lot of their policies have impacted worst on women. This is a cynical political ploy to win back the gullible.

So glad he is gone but lots of damage has been done and not sure his replacement is up to the job of putting things right.

YANBU at all! I love that he's gone!

SallyMcgally · 15/07/2014 15:52

What makes me gleeful is that he is, apparently, to play a leading role in media presentation of the party in the run-up to the General Election. Grin

Token woman but keeping up the independent/Oxbridge Tory profile so absolutely nothing to make me want to vote for them next time. Nicky Morgan agreed with tripling student fees to keep the oiks out and if she could pay her loans off in 8 years then why couldn't everyone else? Tosser.
