AIBU to find the whole "lets fire the men and bring on women" approach to this cabinet reshuffle REALLY offensive?

That's just it really. The bloody cabinet reshuffle.

All over the news this morning I've been confronted with "tired, pale and male out" women in.

Personally, I don't give a fiddlers the gender of a person in a role so long as they are the right person for the job. This whole "men out, women in" story pretty much guarantees (IMO) that any woman promoted will now be perceived both by the public and her colleagues as "she's just here because she's a woman" rather than the right person for the role.

I find it offensive to women. Am I on my high horse? AIBU?

I think it's just blatant electioneering. If he does get back in I suspect his first cabinet will suddenly be full of the rich, white men that he is clearly more comfortable with.

Dont know enough about it all to know if they are the best people for the job or not.

But based on it looks like they have been chosen because they are women, then I suspect they may not necessarily be the best people.

I think it's offensive on both sides- those that are deemed pale male and women.

I find it very worrying how Cameron will do anything to win votes- really shitty. If he had belief in Gove's policies then he should have stuck by him and seen them through. It's soooo what education doesn't need, yet another upheaval.Clearly he really belived in Gove policies and it was really worth putting us all through the waste of money that is free schools etc.Hmm

Just makes the Tories seem more like a back of fag packet party, more ruthless, less trustworthy and even further away from getting my vote.

Seems a bit "glass cliff", doesn't it? psychology.exeter.ac.uk/research/glasscliff/
