Tomorrow DH and I have been together for 10 years, married for 4 of them. He has completely forgotten. Aibu to not remind him so I can be pissed off with him?

Yabu, just cutting your nose off to spite your face. Tell him so you can bith enjoy the day.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 15/07/2014 08:07

So its not a wedding anniversary? More a "this is when we became bf and gf" type thing?

yabu.

sleeplessbunny · 15/07/2014 08:07

Do you want to spend your wedding anniversary pissed off?

HappyAgainOneDay · 15/07/2014 08:07

Why do you think he's forgotten? He might have a surprise up his sleeve.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 15/07/2014 08:07

Eh....so it is? Your OP is misleading.

SanityClause · 15/07/2014 08:08

YABU not to tell him, if it's for points scoring.

Pancakeflipper · 15/07/2014 08:09

I think that's game playing.

If you want to celebrate ask him now what can you both plan.

Ok it's a pisser he's forgot (if he has) but playing stupid games will make you miserable too.

If he loves you and is generally a decent husband, I cannot see the harm in a reminder.

Teddybeau1988 · 15/07/2014 08:09

It is our wedding anniversary, its the same date for both ( you would think it would make it easier for him to remember)

BolshierAyraStark · 15/07/2014 08:09

Why would you want to be pissed off with him on your wedding anniversary? Stop being daft & tell him so you can enjoy the day together.

Pancakeflipper · 15/07/2014 08:10

Oh it's not the wedding anniversary but when first met anniversary....

clueless to why that means a sulk

kelda · 15/07/2014 08:11

Both dh and I forgot this year. Should we have been pissed off at each other?

Pancakeflipper · 15/07/2014 08:11

Oops crossed posts. Oh just tell him OP and save yourself a miserable sulking day.

londonrach · 15/07/2014 08:12

Yabu. Remind him so you can enjoy it. (Is it wrong I don't remember the exact date I meant dh, sometime in oct i think)

BillnTedsMostFeministAdventure · 15/07/2014 08:12

I'd mention it.

Bardette · 15/07/2014 08:12

Depends if you would rather spend the day together celebrating the time you have been together or alone feeling angry and upset.

BillnTedsMostFeministAdventure · 15/07/2014 08:14

London - nah, I think once married wedding anniversary replaces dating anniversary. But OP has the same date for both.

londonrach · 15/07/2014 08:14

Or was it nov. Tbh it's only a date. Dp forgot theirs as so busy and they been married over 40 years. Just remind him.

Thanks bill. Was getting worried.

BeckAndCall · 15/07/2014 08:16

Don't set the guy up for a fall - why would you want to stand back and watch him mess it up?

Say, 'Oi! You! What date is it tomorrow? How shall we celebrate?'

ilovesooty · 15/07/2014 08:41

The posters above are right. Why set yourself up to be miserable and pissed off? Adults who play games like this are childish and quite frankly a bit ridiculous in my view.

Squitten · 15/07/2014 08:45

I never understand people setting each other up with these tests. Why not just talk to him and plan a little celebration for yourselves? It's like you want your life to be difficult...

ICanSeeTheSun · 15/07/2014 09:56

I'm a date person, I know everyone birthday and anniversary within my family and quickly learnt DH family too.

I often remind people if dates because it's a nice thing to do.

FayeKorgasm · 15/07/2014 10:33

What Squitten said.

HazleNutt · 15/07/2014 10:44

I'm not a date person and if Facebook didn't remind me, I would forget my DHs birthday, not to mention our wedding anniversary. Luckily he does not care either. If it was important to him and he knew I was likely to forget, it would be quite mean not to mention it on purpose so he could be all hurt and pissed off.
