I don't think I am.

I'll try to keep this short,

I brought a carpet for hall way and living room from a very popular carpet shop, said I'd pick it up but pay for fitting.

All great said I would pick up next week once I got hold of a trailer.

Phone up the following week saying I'll pick it the next day.

Got to the shop, the guy on shop floor says it's ready, and hands it to me... Folded.

I said ibwas expecting it to be rolled, but he says it's how they do it. Arrange fitting (through them), soonest is 6 days later.

It gets fitted, but there's air bubbles are there, fitter says it's because it's because it was folded and research backs this. But says it.could go down in a few days.

Iv left it just after a week and still there so I go to the shop to complain, was told that I shouldn't have been able to pick it up myself and have them fit it.

Also I was told that I had said I wanted it folded by some one who ibhadnt even spoken to so have been basically called a lier, when they have lied and said he over heard me saying it.

But they can't help me because they didn't sell it to me so will have to wait for a call from the person that did so she can sort it.
The man was very rude imo, but other than that am I buy to want them to fix it, especially as I was not told to keep it rolled, which is what I had expected it to be in the first place but seeing as this is the first time I brought carpet and they are experts I assumed that it would be fine.

Sorry that was really long.

MIL is in Suffolk (although Norfolk end of Suffolk) and used some great local carpet suppliers and fitters recently. I can get the details if you like?

Tortoise. Very kind if you, along with the other op who inboxed me. But ibthink it's being sorted.

I went into day and luckily there was a regional manager there.

I spoke to them, they couldn't appogised enough, having a fitter back on Wednesday to see if he can stretch it and then leave it till end of julybto see if it flatterns then if not they will replace it or refund me if I want to go else where.

When i told them about the guy who I felt was very rude to me they asked who and when I described him they looked at each other which looked like a look of 'not again' kind of look and have said they would deal with it.

I think I was just v lucky that the regional manager was in store today.

Still won't buy from them again but I'm happy with how it's been dealt with today, Infact they couldn't have been nicer.

Glad it's being resolved for you OP. The big carpet retailer near us doesn't charge for delivery - the fitters (who are self-employed) collect the carpets for the day from the store and bring them with them.
