be in their own cabin, then under 21s should be classed as a child price and not an adult?

If you book a cabin for three or four people then the third and fourth person pay a much lower fare which is usually the same as a child fare so I don't understand the problem.

Regarding the alcohol policy on American ships it will be the same as the country the ship departs from so if it's an European country it will be 18. American cruise companies are excellent, I have travelled with four different American cruise lines and can't fault them. There has always been a real mixture of age groups and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

flipchart Have you seen how small those cabins are? We are not in a stateroom GrinThe odd overnight in a hotel is fine, but a week crammed in to a room the size of a broom cupboard does not appeal. It's not a question of caring in that sense it's a space thing.

Sorry secret. I wasn't referring to cabins.

We often use a premier inn or a family room in a youth hostel.

Hotel room no problem

But I have to say 2 nights is our comfortable maximum, when you've got teenage girls, father and younger brother all trying to get changed etc with one bathroom and one room it becomes a nightmare trying to get everyone out for the evening at a reasonable hour!

Cabin - no way esp not for two weeks.

Sounds bizzare. Many at 21 may be in a relationship with x2 small children but not married. Surely they are entitled to book a family holiday.

How strange. We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise a couple of years ago and our teens (then 10 & 15) had their own separate booking in their own room. We did have allocated interconnecting rooms though.

Whenever we've stayed in hotels, we've done the same as Drama for the reservation and then sorted it out when we've got there and never had a problem.

Scotch I think you misunderstood what I meant, I meant of course age discrimination happen to young people (all the fucking time!) but it only 'counts' if it's against the older people.

sorry jazz, my mistake Smile
