AIBU to be worried about eptopic pregnancy

Im a week over due on my period, I've had one positive pregnancy test and three negatives, so I thought I either had a false positive, or a chemical pregancy, but I've got pain around my left ovary, so now I'm wondering about eptopic pregnancy, I'm probably being paranoid I know. The trouble is I have PCOS and so pain around my ovaries is pretty normal around any time of the month although this is slightly sharper than normal, more like if I'm ovulating. AIBU to be worried?

Poor you OP, that sounds stressful. I have no experience to offer but I would advise you to go to your GP. No one on here can possibly te?l you to worry or not.

Get yourself some definite information and go from there.

Good luck Thanks

Ectopic pregnancies can be life-threatening. Please get checked out.

My DD has PCOS, she thought she might be having an eptopic.

The Early Assessment Unit that she attended said that they would rather women attend, than wait, that is what they are there for.

She had negative bloods back, as well as mixed test results.

She is now 16 weeks pregnant.

How lovely Birds!

OP I recently had a threatened miscarriage and due to the nature of some of the pain, I worried it was an ectopic. I rang the EPU and the midwife said "don't mess around". I'd do GP emergency appt or out of hours and get referred to EPU as soon as.

Thank you, all of you. I've started having pains on the other side now so I think its my PCOS but if the pain gets any worse I'll go get it checked out. I get pains round my ovaries so often I should be used to this by now but the pregnancy test is messing with my mind. I think either eay I need to go to my GP on monday

My DD had continual pains until she was around 10 weeks, it's common with PCOS, her first scan was at 6 weeks and the cysts on her ovaries seemed worse, she had been scanned not long before that.

That was the explanation for her pain.

If you do attend, they won't mind, don't think that you are wasting anyone's time.

Thank you Birds thats really helpful. I was actually pretty resigned to thinking it was a false positive in the pregnancy test because I had no other symptoms, except the overdue period but thats not unusual for me, but now I think I'll go to my dr anyway and see what he thinks, for piece of mind
