While looking after their friend Toby while his mother is in labour, not only does she tell Toby he is a big brother the second she gets the text, depriving his parents of the chance to break the news themselves, she then pootles off to tell a whole party full of kids and parents the news. I bet she announced it on facebook too before the new baby's parents, the big thunder stealer Grin.

My dh's grandad was called Topsy.

Well, known as, but still - how undignified.

I didn't know it was a tv series, I only know the books. They are definitely twins.

I had loads of the books, and my favourite was one where T&T dressed up in fancy dress as gypsies, with their skin darkened with cocoa powder Shock

Suspect it was deeply politically incorrect.

BikeRunSki Yes, whatever happened to Tansy! We had all the books when we were growing up, they still DSIS's favourites (SN) and me and DM still wonder about Tansy.

RuddyDuck one of my favourites too but on todays programme they dressed up as a knight and a horse, not quite the same!

Topsy and Tim look nothing alike.

Well, they both have one head and four limbs... But other than that...

Look at their eyes and mouths. Completely different different shapes.

And they regularly talk about nursery, but Tim has a full mouth of adult teeth.

His voice will be breaking before he reaches KS2.

YANBU she is so smug, in fact all of them are smug, chirpy, upbeat bastards. Even the randoms who deliver the shopping or put up the for sale sign.

The horse costume was quite frankly shit. They didn't look anything like a horse, despite all the false praise and joy that was heaped on them. Toby didn't even bend over!

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with a stupidly big bump that my two and a half year old thinks is food. She keeps patting my tummy and saying Mummy is hungry Blush. After watching T&T I said to her:

"would you like a baby brother or sister like Toby? "
"Errrrrr ... No. I wanna baby cheese"
"Ok. But maybe mummy and daddy could get a baby - would that be good?"
"No mummy. Babybel."

And that was that. No further on in breaking the bad news to her.

foxsticks we found Peppa Pig to be more representative of the sibling arrangement than T&T!
