Neighbours kids call round to fill up on your junk cupboard? Report them to SS. They must be starving their kids.

New partner, loads of handbags? - Report them for benefit fraud. Something must be up.

Tenants having a bad day, dog poo left in the garden? Report them to environmental health and try and evict them.

Whatever happened to talking to your neighbours? Offering a helping hand? AIBU is just full of "friends" reporting each other for the most spurious reasons atm. Is this what that big society thing was meant to be about?

Oh I agree. So much reporting all over the place.

CoffeeTea103 · 26/06/2014 18:25

Report the neighbors kids for playing in their own garden and making noise. Better yet, take the black book out and 'log' all incidents. I can't imagine people in rl doing this.

101 is supposed to be for non life threatening or non urgent police worthy matters. For example if there is a man in your shop threatening to knock your teeth out because you won't give him a full meal for £1 you dial 999 not 101. If the man is in a drunken stupor and trying to sleep on your shop that is what 101 is for. We had an interesting Christmas time at work last year Grin

I think I will set up a useful and community-spirited 'get a grip' helpline for people having the vapours because a 15 year old sat on a swing or someone's dog barked once on a sunday.

It will be 000 and will staffed by unflappable types saying things like 'Ah come on now, it's not so bad' in smiley voices.

MN does seem to be a bit trigger-happy at times - It's so odd, I don't know as many people in RL who are so eager to make others' lives miserable.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 26/06/2014 18:40

I'm reporting my neighbour for his noisy exhaust. It fell off his motorbike and was squashed by a lorry. He showed me.

I'm reporting the lorry as well.

I didn't laugh oh no not at all

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 26/06/2014 18:46

maybe all these habitual 'reporters' are my ex-mil... Confused
