Just what it says in the title really? Why do some posters get so worked up about this? It's not as if it's compulsory to read every thread on here, so don't open the threads that don't interest you or have vague titles that don't make the subject matter clear.

I shall tell you why it makes me irate.

The op posts a scenario. The op has posted this scenario in AIBU.People then ask questions and offer responses.

Some of these responses vex the op. The op then gets emotional and posts

I didn't ask for your opinion/I don't care what anyone else thinks/
Who asked you?/fuck off/ whether IABU isn't the issue/ or (my favourite) FFS I just wanted some support.

They can do this in AIBU

and yet I am not allowed to poke them in the eye with something sharp

THAT IS WHY I GET IRATE.

Become a MIL HoneyDragon. Then you can rage about your DIL not doing things as she should.

I don't give a flying fuck who posts where.

Only bell ends make me irate.

I do an eye rolly FFS when I see "AIBU to ask you which pram is best" type crap as it comes across as popularity seeking and I have sometimes suggested that a thread might get better replies elsewhere - for example there are some lovely employment specialists like flowery etc who give generously of their expertise on the Employment board, so someone posting in AIBU may get poor advice as they are receiving people's guesses rather than professional advice....same with school appeals - there are panel members who give great knowledgeable advice on the relevant boards.

And a thread like "AIBU to claim DLA for my son" will get the frothers and benefit bashers out in their droves, whereas if someone asked for advice on the SN board they would get sympathetic support from those who have been through it.

I can't say I would ever get irate about it though, but YANBU to wonder Wink

Actually I'm with LuisSuarezTeeth.
I don't mind where people post. It's the bellends that are annoying.
