In day to day life?

Clearly I spend to much time on here but I would say at least a couple of times a week an AIBU situation presents itself in my life Grin.
For example I'll be in a busy supermarket feeling rushed and actually think the words 'AIBU to expect them to open another checkout' I then think if all the obscure ways people would tell me IABU, a little bit entitled, needy, unhinged and BVU! I then chuckle to myself and decide yes IABU.

Or yesterday when I thought AIBU to expect my dh to not put herbs on my cheese on toast to tart it up a bit when he is kind enough to make me some.

To which my AIBU radar goes off again to tell me I am.

Surely I'm not the only one? Does anyone else have an inbuilt AIBU app in my brain?

PrincessBabyCat · 23/06/2014 18:16

I knew when I was being irrationally cranky before MN, the forums didn't really change anything. :)

Doesn't stop me from feeling annoyed at having to wait in line with a slow as mud cashier.

youbethemummylion · 23/06/2014 18:23

I do this. I also have been known to write DH and DS1 or DS2 in texts to friends.

TheCatsBollocks · 23/06/2014 18:48

DH says it.
AIBU?? Taking the piss.

CarmineRose1978 · 23/06/2014 18:50

Whenever I tell my DP he is being unreasonable, he says "Are you going on mumsnet now to check if its you who's being unreasonable or me?"

Hobbes8 · 23/06/2014 18:53

I do this. And in my head I pronounce it eye-boo.

youbethemummylion · 23/06/2014 19:18

Me too with the eye-boo really thought that would only be me though mine is a more northern aye-boo!

mytitiferssungtheirsong · 23/06/2014 19:23

All the time! I do about five aibu a day in my head. Fortunately most of them are too trivial to start a thread on but recent thoughts have been related to annoying mum in playgroup, parking issues at Aldi, dsis, moving etc etc. Yes I think you can see how aibu dominates my life!!!

Drgonzosattorney · 23/06/2014 19:28

I wonder if IABU when I get my big Lidl bags out and try and race the cashier to get my feckin groceries in the bag so I don't have to waste time packing them after I've paid!
