How do bans work? Are you expelled forever? Or just suspended for a while?

MNHQ has zero tolerance of spammers and can't really afford the time to give them the benefit of the doubt, which is probably why they just hit the Big Red Button without a second thought.

I think it depends whether it is a fuck off ban or whether it is a time out and think about what you've done ban.

Normal posters who have been part of things but at some point crossed a line tend to get put on the naughty step and then let back in.

People who join up and start playing silly buggers get told to sod off.

I had seen a thread many many moons ago where the op was posting nonsensical posts to try to get top poster of the week or something like that. I thought that was what mostlymama was up to. The thread was silly, but I dont think ban worthy.

Fair enough KateS, but MostlyMama wasn't a newbie or a spammer - she's been posting quite a lot. That was why, when I saw her thread, I recognised her NN and just thought she was a bit pissed - and being a bit daft.

I don't blame you for deleting the thread though.

I got banned in error recently; had no email and no response to any of my emails for daaaays until they responded in embarrassment
