To think that quinoa is revolting?

Perhaps I'm missing something I tried it once. Horrible, chewy, gritty stuff with a funny aftertaste. I am not a fussy rate btw in general.

I just keep reading about it on mn so do people actually like it? Grin

I love couscous, I love bulgar wheat, I love all other grains (apart from rice). I HATE quinoa. It definitely has a strange after taste.

YANBU tried it once, never bothered again.

Elledouble · 21/06/2014 11:09

I really like it. Went through a stage of having it loads with sautéed green veg through it and a mustardy dressing, to a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall recipe.

Then suddenly, every time I ate it, my stomach would swell up and I would throw up, so I can't eat it any more. Same thing happens with broccoli, it's weird.

Millet is worse than quinoa. Which I didn't think was possible.

Sorghum must be variable depending on how you process it - I had it as porridge in South Africa and it was better than the standard maize meal or pap which tasted of nothing at all.

Husband hates it. Daughter loves it!
