Ooh yes, me too. Particular like the wanting to shag the furniture line Grin I never understood my cycle until I had DD but now I can tell when I'm probably ready to conceive as, yes, everything looks so much rosier...

YouLoveItDoreen · 20/06/2014 14:28

I've noticed since having DS, that I am more aware of it all. I never really understood my cycle before. NDN's gardener furniture too!

I always had this really. Tried microgynon pill in highschool and it made it worse, so I stopped after 3 months. I also used to get sick at the time of ovulation, a bit like morning sickness type nausea so by looking at your ladies answers I think I am going to get worse Sad

My theory is that your hormones are in charge till your mid/late twenties, and the peaks just become more noticeable because you're a proper grown up. I'm pretty certain I read something about puberty not completely finishing till our twenties???

Anyway, that point of view means I don't have to put it down to getting older and can think of myself as just completed puberty (relatively speaking if I'm mid thirties that's true Grin)

Anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Maybe I was just ignorant in my pastWink

Me too.

Cornettoninja, I didn't really notice my hormones in my 20s and early 30s.

But then I started feeling almost suicidal with PMS, and really high and capable and all-conquering around ovulation. PMS does seem to have calmed down (generally not so depressed anyway these days, part of which is the passing of time since my parents' deaths.) But the feeling round ovulation, I'd be rich if I could bottle that and sell it.

I guess maybe change is normal. I am much less affected the older I get (late 40s now).

treaclesoda · 20/06/2014 19:43

I definitely feel more noticeable changes as I've got older.
