... to think that DP didn't have to eat all the pesto.

I made about 200ml of fresh pesto this afternoon. I had some bolognese sauce for me and DS (DP is vegetarian). AIBU to think that DP is a total scoffyfucker for eating the whole lot? I didn't even get a taste (apart from the very small taste for seasoning while I was making it).

How long does it last blue when it's made. (Completely ignores the Aibu topic)

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 16/06/2014 18:54

I'd only keep it in the fridge for a couple of days - however, fresh pesto freezes brilliantly.

200ml is quite a bit, but unless i told him it was meant to last more than one dinner DH would eat it all, yep.

Sadly, londonrach, I've never had any leftovers - I probably wouldn't try and keep it for longer than two days, but there was a PP who had a brilliant suggestion about freezing it in icecube trays.
Yes, Daphne, it is a first world problem - but I am a highly privileged denizen of the first world, and am therefore troubled mainly by those sorts of problems.

Why is it a first world problem (hate that phrase anyway)? Do you not think that people in third world countries get cross when their DP's eat all of something and don't leave any for others? Or are they all too busy thinking of infant mortality and famine all the time?

FarelyKnuts · 16/06/2014 23:18

:o Ha, I love when someone comes along and posts "first world problems". Because of course we couldn't possibly hold more than one thought or concern in our heads at the same time.
Amazingly I can worry about my partner's breast cancer AND people dying in countries both near and far AND talk about pesto. Complex creatures us humans aren't we!

Oh Daphne boring boring boring, if the thread is so unworthy why post?

The only time I tried to make pesto it just tasted of raw garlic :( I'm going to try the no garlic version :)

What you need is a secret mini fridge, it can be used to store secret chocolate stash and mini bottles of wine and your must lived pesto.
