To put my 16.5 month old without offering any more food?

Today he's had:
Porridge
Pancake
Banana
Yogurt x 2
Bottle of milk
Half a digestive

For dinner tonight I offered him chicken and pasta with tomato sauce- he howled when I tried to give it to him.

I then went and made beans and toast and he howled and refused this too.

Appreciate these aren't the most exciting foods but normally he likes them.

He's not normally fussy.

AIBU to not cook anything else for him- am pregnant and exhausted.

He'll get a bottle before bed.

What do you think? It doesn't seem like much to me Sad

I wouldn't offer anything else if dinner not eaten - I never have with any of my three. I wouldn't make a fuss about it, just take it away. I probably wouldn't have given all the snacks during the day either as with the exception of porridge he doesn't seem to have had any proper food?

if it helps, my ds saw a paediatric dietician as a toddler, who told me that at this age they don't look at what's eaten in a day, but look at intake over 3 days, as it's perfectly normal for toddlers to miss meals and eat more at the next to make up for it.

I've always given mine 3 meals and 3 snacks. So if they didn't eat a meal, I didn't offer something else but waited until the next planned snack time. One of the 3 snacks was milk at bedtime. So the other 2 mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
