Good luck! Unless you're being interviewed in a defensive setting then it's in the interviewers best interests to get it as good as possible.. Speak more slowly than you would ordinarily, don't worry about needing more than one take as it's often not that you've said something wrong more that sound/lighting was off.... Oh and the rule I always follow whenever I do it...make sure you're out of the house when it's screened!! Seriously you'll be fab!

Don't swear/pass wind, try to relax and just enjoy yourself. Good luck.

granny24 · 12/06/2014 20:07

I used to be interviewed fairly often. The best advice I was ever given was to ask the interviewer beforehand what the first question was going to be. They are equally keen for you not to freeze and will oblige. Good luck.

I was the one on the other side of the camera, doing the interviews. Like Granny24 said, in most cases, the interviewer wants to get the very best out of you to cut the best piece, so don't be afraid to ask them what their questions are, and what they're looking for.

If that sits with what you want to say - you're winning.

PiperRose · 12/06/2014 21:50

Ask for the questions before-hand. Seriously, this is the norm. I used to do this regularly.

gimcrack · 12/06/2014 23:01

Ask what the first question will be. If you have one, remember what your key message is. Do not have coffee - you will go hyper. Do not have a fizzy drink - you will burp.

How did it go?
