We went out for a walk tonight and popped into local shop for an ice-cream. It has a small cafe during the day but only serves take-away after 5pm. She asked to use the loo, they said no, it was shut. She said her DD had used it before, and the owner said that they always let small children go, but not adults. Friend is pissed off and now boycotting the shop.

I think they were being very reasonable.

Your friend was BU - adults can hold it in much better than children can Smile

Imsuchamess · 11/06/2014 21:40

I would just be grateful they had let my dd use them tbh.

PeachandRaspberry · 11/06/2014 21:44

Yes, that's what I thought too!

Hey, not all adults can hold it in better than children. Sometimes when you have to go, you HAVE to go. If your friend was desperate enough to need to ask, I think they could have let her use the loo.

She didn't seem that desperate, tbh, she made it home at a nice stroll too. If she was jigging up and down on the spot, maybe.

I think the shop is BU. I cannot hold my number 2. When I have to go - that is it! I am very grateful to all the random places that have saved me from brown knickers. It is a relatively small thing that makes a massive difference to me and I am glad that most do not take the same approach. And before anyone says it - yes it is my problem and I do take measures to minimise the problem.
