I just had the most amazing 2 minute phone call from my DH...

He is forces and currently away and I'm an emotional pregnant mess!

It would mainly be tears of happiness Smile

How lovely for you. Just count the days when he'll be back with you and they'll soon go.

I know this feeling very well, DP was away when DS was born, he didn't see him til he was 4 months old and we only spoke once a week.

Several times I missed the call too as I was stuck on the sofa breastfeeding Sad
How long is he away for? Hope the time goes quick for you.

Ah that's lovely Smile there's nothing better than deployment calls

My DH is forces, he's deploying when I'll be 17 weeks and gets home week 35 Sad I'm already a bit scared about him going and I'm only 7 weeks now!

Babyleopard23 · 12/06/2014 04:26

Popcorn its horrible missing the call isn't it! He is due back quite soon so not too much longer to go Smile
We are based abroad a long way from the UK too so can feel a bit lonely sometimes but I do have some great friends here.

FTR bless you Thanks I bet you are. Do you have other DC or is this your first? I'm only 10 weeks with our first so I'm really scared and concerned about everything! I had a scan 2 weeks ago and managed to speak to him after which was amazing because I heard how happy he was Smile

No it's my 2nd, DS is 5 he'll have just turned 6 when the baby arrives. We're in the uk and DH is going to The states/Central America.
I've got a fantastic childminder for DS so if I start to struggle as I get more pregnant I know she can take over school drop offs and such Smile

Babyleopard23 · 12/06/2014 10:06

Aw that's good that you've got some good help if you need it Smile
I have my mum coming over his week followed by a friend the next week so hoping this last stretch of time goes super quick!
