To think my neighbour offered to do some gardening so he could

Nick my kindling.

He popped over and asked if I wanted him to do some gardening out the front. He finished work early and was bored.

I let him and left him to it, not much needed doing and I went on the school run. When I came back he was taking all my wood which wad piled up at the side of the house, which I had cut down from a massive scrub and use as kindling in the wood burner I have in the back garden.

He just said I thought I'd shift all that for you and went on to tell he he's got a new chiminea. I just said oh I keep that there to use that myself. I was a bit embarrassed so I said he could take half of it.

Then I remembered I noticed him looking down there the other day as he walked past and at the time I did wonder what he was looking at.

Now I'm thinking cheeky bugger shouldn't have helped himself and he ended up just returning a fraction of it certainly not half.

What a git!

Go round to admire the new chiminea & -have a shufty round- admire the garden to see how much of your kindling he has pinched. Then comment on how much hard work you did to chop it up. Hopefully, he will feel guilty and offer to chop more or some more gardening in exchange. Grin

Oops strikethrough fail!

My inlaws moved into their house a couple of years ago and within a couple of days the neighbour came and offered to paint their side of the panel fence. Very kind they thought and were very grateful.

Later on they discovered that he had been actually glueing bits of paper over the knot-holes in their side of the fence so that they couldn't see through them into his garden.

I suggest we printed lots of little pictures of eyeballs and replace his pieces of paper!

My inlaws won't let me! however, they will be having a holiday later this year...

Sorry for muscling in on your thread op, I just find some neighbours to be so bizarre, but luckily mine have all been lovely :-)

Yabu for thinking there is such a thing as free gardening.

Canthisonebeused · 11/06/2014 18:53

He's at it already, he's out there burning my bloody wood Envy. I haven't even brought my washing in yet Angry!!!

This neighbour is going to piss me off no end it's he?

Have you got the angle needed to fit a brightbrightbright security light to blare through his bedroom window all night every night?

Worried about burglars you are.
