To be massively proud of my sister......

I can't link my original thread (can't find it, perhaps someone could advise, its around 17 months old).

My sister in January(ish) last year had to to be sectioned, I was designated her "closest relative" therefore having to arrange for her mental health assessment, resulting in her being sectioned. My family were fairly unsupportive and quite ignorant of the danger that my sister was in at that time.

However, once my sister had forgiven me (she was angry at first), she accepted me visiting and things went from strength to strength. We got her flat sorted, we got her some new clothes, sorted her bills, sorted her payments etc etc.

Since January (and a bit before, as she was unwell and had been dismissed from her job), she had not been working and had been claiming benefits, it has taken a long time to get her medication right.

Well................. she's only gone and got herself a full time job!!

I was a little worried at first, as nothing to full time seemed a huge jump, but it is for someone she previously worked for and hearing the joy in her voice is heartwarming.

She has struggled so much and achieved so much, she is an inspiration.

Thanks to all those back then, who told me I had done the right thing and supported me.

Oh this made me cry! I hope you know that YOU are amazing too and should be very proud of yourself. Glad you've had such a brilliant experience with the NHS too. Enjoy the Wine Wine

Congratulations to both of you. So lovely to read!

As for meals, there are lots of lovely, simple meals that don't take a lot of preparing. Especially now the weather is improving and she won't always need a hot meal. Can you help her plan a menu so there's very little thinking involved, (and even less cooking!) when she's tired after a day at work?
