Had an LLETZ (treatment/cauterization of abnormal cervical cells) just over a week ago.

Had little pain to start with (besides it being very painful straight after, which quickly wore off that same day). But now keep getting achey pains in my pelvis, mid+lower back. I have no offensive smells coming from there or any obviously 'wrong' looking discharge but did discover a bloody mini-boil on my fanjo this morning Hmm The literal cherry on the cake.

Thinking of just going in today and getting anti-B's at least for the 'sore spot' but also to check there's no infection as I feel pretty rough/exhausted and it's getting fairly painful.

Would I be wasting their time? I could leave it til monday but worried it'll be harder to shift (whatever it is) and I'll feel worse for longer.

I hate being a woman! Grin Hmm

I would go to out of hours. Nip it in the bud, and get checked over...

Bearandcub · 07/06/2014 08:17

No you would not be wasting their time if you think you have an underlying infection. Do you have a temperature?

KatyMac · 07/06/2014 08:18

Go today

TheOrchardKeeper · 07/06/2014 08:22

I don't think I have a temp. I don't feel fluey or anything.

Just knackered/faint (despite sleeping well) and very crampy/getting the odd sharp pain too.

I've felt run down the last 3 days or so but it's much worse today for some reason. I put it down to just healing in general but something just feels a bit 'off' IYSWIM?

I am sick of people looking at my bits though...Would love it to magically get bettter by itself! Brew

The advice they give is to see a GP/ring the clinic if you have offensive smells/discharge from that area or a temp so not sure if I should wait it out.

Bloody weekends! Stuff like this always happens at the most awkward time Grin

Yes - phone the ooh service. You are worried and in pain and should get some advice. Look after yourself.

TheOrchardKeeper · 07/06/2014 08:32

Thank you.

I usually just get on with things but don't fancy running the risk of letting it get worse if it is an infection. But worried it might just be par for the course and I'll be wasting an appointment (plus it's not that local so involves dragging a bored toddler with me).

Trying to get hold of DM to see if she can come so they can have a look without DS running circles aroung them...
