To not need religion to feel the wonder of creation

My little DD has just fallen asleep. Her tiny particles have been around since the dawn of time in one state or another and now she is sleeping curled up, thumb firmly in mouth.

It's amazing.

Creation needs a creator :)

EddieStobbart · 06/06/2014 21:18

Too complicated for my world - then who created the creator? I'll stick to staring at my kid!

What a lovely thought. Science beats religion in our house. Yanbu and you made me smile :-)

SuburbanRhonda · 06/06/2014 21:20

I'm a big fan of the wonder of evolution myself Smile

mswibble · 06/06/2014 21:20

I dont need religion for anything.

SuburbanRhonda · 06/06/2014 21:21

eddie, you and her dad / mum are her creators.

mswibble · 06/06/2014 21:21

Moments of wonderment need no reason!

lionheart · 06/06/2014 21:22

A creator is not the same as religion.

deakymom · 07/06/2014 12:14

take a picture its less deep but still cute

madhairday · 07/06/2014 12:15

Well I'm fond of science, evolution and God. Yep. all together.

Enjoy your dd :)

EddieStobbart · 07/06/2014 13:11

Deaky, that's adorable. DD2 is five so the real baby moments are on the way out but there are still flashes!

Ds's creation is so amazing that it blows me away & the bit I love best is that I made him! (With a bit of help from dp Wink). And it's my very basic scientific knowledge which amazes me when I think that his teeny fingernails, soft skin and lovely hair have all been created from the same basic building blocks.

Sallyingforth · 07/06/2014 13:29

Well I've had an intensive scientific training, but when I see the wonders of the universe I do not understand how it could all have created itself out of nothing.
I don't think anyone has found a satisfactory answer to that - including Dawkins or Hawking.

Primafacie · 07/06/2014 14:25

YANBU. What religious myth could possibly beat the magical reality of stardust ?

quackducky · 07/06/2014 14:27

Religion explains nothing anyway. All it does is try to replace one inexplicable circumstance with another. Bizarre that some people swallow it.

Thenapoleonofcrime · 07/06/2014 14:31

Another one here who is in wonderment at both science and God. I don't look to God for explanations, though, faith makes everything harder to explain, not easier. It's because it is my experience, which is not about rational explanation.
