She left ""Cruchem Hall Academy" in very swift and strange circumstances inspite of taking the school to outstanding and sucessfully making it an academy.

Has Miss Trunchbull got another headship in a failing school, become an OFSTED inspector or educational consultant or has she become an advisor to Mr Gove?

I think she became a prison officer.

She probably got eaten by the Enormous Crocodile. That's how he found out that he only liked children because adults were too tough and chewy.

(This weeks homework is to imagine you invite a famous person from the past to tea, and to write a list of questions you would ask them. DD chose Roald Dahl. So far her questions have focused on George's Marvellous Medicine, and whether Roald Dahl ever made a batch to use on his granny! But we can throw this in for variety.)

I always thought she learned her lesson and went to a new school where she was just as much of a brilliant teacher as Miss Honey, but she changed her name so children who had read the book would'nt be scared by her, that was the ending my mum read to me. (obviously I've read it since and know mum made that bit up)

She retired and now does Pilates with my mate's mum.

Mine too PrincessBabyCat , I loved it because the BFG reminded me of my wonderful granddad, and in the film version he even looked like my granddad.

Is she friends or related to Elizabeth Truss who wants to get all children learnng in nurseries French style? Perhaps she is an advisor to Elizabeth Truss/ Gove.

The BFG was lovely, I had it on story tape and played it so many times that the music at the end went all wibbly :(
