There were two people in that prank call to Kate Middleton's hospital. The woman is unemployed, still crying (she is in the news again today and she still can't stop crying when she talks about it). She is absolutely gutted and her mother is receiving death threats. The man...he moved on with his career, he has a new talk show and it's all good. WTAF?

1. is he unreasonable for not being that bothered
2. is she unreasonable for being that bothered
3. Why did she resign and he didn't (see 1 and 2 above)?
4. AIBU?

There were at least three staff involved and Jacintha was arguably not the key staff member IIRC.

*A woman just won't be absolved by the media and public until she's sobbed and self-flagellated copiously. She's probably tipped herself into more substantial MH issues by trying to comply.

This. This all happened a long time ago, the Duchess is fine, her baby is a bonny lad, everyone has almost forgotten the incident. Grieg is the only person still in the news about it, and she's the only person still crying, so it looks like she's the only guilty person. And the inquest hasn't happened yet so it's still not over for her. It's like she will never stop paying for it. I feel sorry for her.

When IS the inquest due?

A date for the inquest is yet to be set, it has been postponed three times:

If I met her I would say that this is the consequence of her actions. Her bleating in public is not making me sympathise. Her prank was at best niave, her response to it is her choice.

He has chosen to brazen it out, maybe he realised that the conduct and morality behind the prank was a huge risk where she didn't? Their show wasn't in good taste, maybe he realised this and liked being a shock jock?
