To totally not understand paying £75 for a 1D ticket for young children?

Seeing on FB today lots of friends with children in DS's year (6) are taking their children to see 1D.

I just don't get why you'd spend £150 on tickets (assuming just two of you are going) when they're so little.

I spent this on my 6 yr old to see the nutcracker. It was amazing. She really enjoyed it.

DH won hospitality tickets to see 1D this week, but none of the teens in this house were in the least bit interested. He passed them over to a friend in return for a (substantial) charity donation and friends DD now thinks he's fabulous Smile

Do you mean 6 yrs old, or Y6? It isn't clear in your post

I think if they can afford it then fine, but I think taking a 6 year old to a concert (especially one with OTT fans like 1D) is a bit Hmm. I think its too old for them.

Depends if they have the money to spare! DH's friend's partner has 5 kids and has never worked (judgey judgey) and all they do is complain they're skint, which is fair enough - seven mouths to feed on one salary. But she has bought 1D tickets for herself and daughter...£150 on one concert when you claim you can't afford the electricity bill?

There's a lady on my facebook selling site selling 1d tickets with a face value of £149 for £200. She says they're sold pending collection.

I don't get it.

youmakemydreams · 30/05/2014 20:48

Yeah I tries to get tickets when a mum at school was selling them she was getting crazy offers. I lost out because was prepares to pay no more than face value.
