Do you think I should call the restaurant and let them know
or anyone else?
I did notice in the windows they have a five out of five food hygiene rating

Oh thanks

I dont want to try n get them in trouble as can't guarantee it was them that gave me it
could have been the sarnie
But if this happened someone with a weak immune system like an elderly or pregnant person
it could be vvvv serious

I was taken into hospital with food poisoning. I got sent straight there from the GP's, I think they suspected appendicitis. Its all a bit of blur as I was delirious but I do remember the pain.

panda in which case I hope they'd have sent an ambulance to you. But if DH was there, he could have phoned and answered for you, that is allowed! My comment was more aimed at albertatata anyway, they suggested phoning out of hours doctor. Well we don't have OOH here they just direct you to 111, who would probably have told you to phone an ambulance!

Iv had salmonella poisoning twice and it was awful.felt like my insides were on fire. Couldn't keep even water down. Had to get tablets off doctor to stop me being sick. 5 days each time.

Cant guarantee it was the curry. Some can take many hours to make you ill. I had kfc on the sat lunch and was then ill on the sunday lunchtime.

I was in hospital for 2 weeks with severe food poisoning. I was very poorly and my kidneys and liver weren't too happy either!

I came home with a ulcerated bowel, which after 2 weeks at home started to twist and I had to go back in to hospital. =morphine and camera up the back end to flip bowel loop back in to place.

I had to stay at home resting for 6 months, and could only leave home for short periods of time after that to plan loo trips. I have permanent bowel damage and IBS which was severe for about 5 yrs afterwards.
Its been 9 yrs since I had this food poisoning and in last 3-4yrs have got the pain down to level that does not interfere with day to day life.

I would never take food poisoning lightly. I am very lucky I am alive and lucky that I didn't need a colostomy bag which was a serious consideration for the docs in hospital.

With rice food poisoning bacteria you would be very poorly within 1-5 hours. It acts very quickly. The sickness last upto 24 hours. With salmonella on the other hand sickness starts 12-72 hours after contamination and it can take weeks or even months to fully recover.
