I think it's my fault - I've just put my bloody summer duvet on the bed..

I'm chuffing freezing

Toofattorun · 27/05/2014 21:30

Mine has been on for 3 days now. I had had enough of that horrible cold and damp feeling in the house.

Nocomet · 27/05/2014 21:42

YANBU, it's fractionally less freezing than yesterday, but only fractionally.

Nocomet · 27/05/2014 21:44

She types snuggling up under DDs Fleece blanket.

May Hmm

hiccupgirl · 27/05/2014 21:48

Put mine on this evening for an hour. Just to take the chill off and to get rid of the damp feeling.

Love the so called summer!

mycatlikestwiglets · 27/05/2014 21:53

Mine went on earlier too. 7mo DD was visibly shivering so I decided my usual rule of no heating past April ought to be relaxed just this once Grin

wasabipeanut · 27/05/2014 21:58

Ours went back on yesterday.. I wore canvas skater type pumps today - big mistake. My feet were sodden. Everyone else had winter boots back on! It's bloody freezing! And I'm going camping on Thursday

cantbelievethisishppening · 27/05/2014 22:00

YANBU....mine went back on today

1stMrsF · 27/05/2014 22:06

YANBU I put ours on for a couple of hours - we decided we'd felt cold for 2 days and enough was enough.

makati · 27/05/2014 22:09

DH away for the week so I put the heating on!!

mineofuselessinformation · 27/05/2014 22:12

Haven't actually turned mine off yet!
But I should say it's barely been on as the house is very well insulated.

Iwillorderthefood · 27/05/2014 22:19

Ours is on.

NearTheWindymill · 27/05/2014 22:27

Mine went on about two hours ago.

CaurnieBred · 27/05/2014 22:30

Mine is on too. Cold wind and rain = bleurgh

Plomino · 27/05/2014 22:47

We lit the woodburner tonight , just looking at the torrential rain makes me feel freezing .

nikki1978 · 27/05/2014 22:53

Nope I refuse to! Luckily our bungalow is pretty well insulated so it isn't freezing just a slight chill to the air.

I have given up expecting anything but rain and cold in this country. That way I can never be disappointed and get the odd bonus day when the sun comes out Grin

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 27/05/2014 23:02

Mine has been on & off all day.

geezerhere · 27/05/2014 23:02

Im wearing just a pair of socks. Might go fully buff soon im that hot

BuggersMuddle · 27/05/2014 23:15

YANBU

Don't get this obsession some people have with the correct month to switch heating on / off as opposed y'know the temperature and whether additional heat is required Hmm

That and the competitive: 'You put your heating on in October? Shock Ours isn't on until 2 weeks before Xmas and it's back off by March. The rest of the time we wear 5 cardies, 3 pairs of socks and carry a hot water bottle when cold.' Grin

It seems a peculiarly British thing (I am British BTW) and bizarrely the most competitive I've met in real life have plenty of money to adequately heat their homes should they so choose Confused

MorvahRising · 27/05/2014 23:21

BuggersMuddle quite agree. My MIL won't turn hers on til November. There could be a mini ice age but no, it's the rule.

Ours kicks in at 17 and is on. Bliss. I have been in a fleecy top all day.
