My friend's son is ill in hospital, I really want to take some cheering up gifts. What sort of thing do you think he would like in terms of magazines etc? He is football mad.

Money. Money. Money.

Perhaps a football wallet or piggy bank with some er money in it.

Food!

JennyCalendar · 24/05/2014 09:15

Funky headphones go down well with teens.

Does he have an iPod? iTunes vouchers are popular too.

Jinty64 · 24/05/2014 09:18

Mine like computer magazines. X-box, ps4 type things but, they don't like football so not much help.

PrincessBabyCat · 24/05/2014 09:19

Money. Gift cards.

Money.

Teenagers like money.

:)

ExCinnamon · 24/05/2014 09:20

Teen boys get through litres of lynx each week.

Maybe a footie magazine.

Sweets.

I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

jellybeans · 24/05/2014 11:59

When my teen daughters buys pressies for their male friends, they usually get sweets (old sweet shop style), chocs, lynx, novelties and usually these go down well. We often do 'gift bags' with lotsof fun things to open such as a mug, smellies, sweets x

Selks · 24/05/2014 12:02

Does he have access to a games console? If so, a computer game.

ExCinnamon · 24/05/2014 12:05

Google play voucher

Tangerinefairy · 24/05/2014 12:12

Amazon voucher?

Chimchar · 24/05/2014 16:25

If he is a gamer, and has a phone/iPad with him, you can buy money on cards to buy lives and extras for free games. My ds is into 'clash of clans' at the mo.

Also magazines...loads available. 'Stuff' magazine is good for those who like technology. Top gear is popular with ds (13 1/2) and his mates. Playstation and Xbox. Depends which one he has (if any!!)

Loom bands are dead popular at the minute. He may not be into them as such but they might help him to while away a few hours.

How long is he in for?

windchime · 24/05/2014 16:26

Microsoft points and a computer to spend them on.

HolidayCriminal · 24/05/2014 16:57

money, DS would hate most the rest.

SU24FencerA · 24/05/2014 17:19

A Fisherman's Friend

Rivercam · 24/05/2014 17:23

My 14 year old likes:

Four four two magazine ( or 4 4 2)

Biographies of footballers and other sportsmen ( not aware that he's read any women biographies)

Book/magazine about forthcoming World Cup

Guinness book of records - good for browsing through
