Just that. Wankers.
I want to go and get our lollipop lady and set her loose on all if them. She takes no prisoners.

I have this every day. Got chatting to a local policeman who was very keen to discourage it and told me to give them number plates.

I've seen police and community bobbies just stand and watch. I suppose they ave 'more important' things to do (have photos taken with tourists or somesuch).

Well I reported the bastard to his company. Utterly fed up with it.

He looked all mean and pinchy faced too. Flagrant disregard for all road safety.

Saw this tonight. I gave him the wanker sign as he drive past.

Two boys at the crossing, no lollipop lady. They were about 9 and 6, in school uniform. Older boy holding littler ones arm. They looked a bit dithery. I spotted them and slowed right down a good way off the crossing. Idiot just carried on.

Lovely boys gave me and the other driver a wave for stopping. Good lads.

This irritates me so much. Cars are always racing past my DS's school some even ignoring the pelican. An accident waiting to happen without a doubt.

When i was in school, a boy in my year was crossing at a pelican. Cars had stopped either side, green man showing so he and his family had started to cross and a car came racing up the road, overtook the other cars and went straight through the crossing hitting the boy and threw him a fair way up the road killing him. It was such a terrible tragedy and the school really felt it as a whole. He was only 13, everyone was so devastated.

It was a hit and run.
we're all in our mid twenties now and whenever i drive down that road and see the flowers left out every year it still makes me so sad.

That's extremely upsetting Trujay and exactly why I get the absolute raging fury at drivers who do this. It's a huge problem around here.

It's cyclists who do this too but that's a whole other thread. Wink

I just can't fathom how some people genuinely think their driving is ok?! Some things i see make me cringe and make me never want to let my children cross roads without an adult ever!

You could try doing what my sister did. When she was about 18, she stepped onto a crossing, only to nearly be run over by an arsehole speeding across it. In her fright she screamed 'YOU FUCKING CUNT!'
at the top of her voice, causing the driver to screech to a halt in shock, and everyone in the high street to stop and stare open mouthed.
Bet he was more careful in future [WINK]

InSpaceNooneCanHearYouScream · 20/05/2014 20:22

oops. Emoticon fail

Pleasejustgo · 20/05/2014 21:54

Well done your sister for getting the prick to stop.

I was in a line of slow moving traffic. A car cut up the inside at a fair speed and hit a boy on the crossing.
Fortunately the boy only had a glancing blow and bruised leg. My heart was in my mouth as I could see what was happening before it happened (I was maybe 6 cars back from the crossing).

The other fortunate part was that the car which had stopped to give way to the pedestrian was a police car.
Hope that idiot driver was prosecuted( I did offer to be a witness as I saw all)

And drivers who think a flashing amber light is their signal to plough forwards into crossing pedestrians or force those half way across to wait in the central bit for the next light change. I hate this as a driver, too: if you give pedestrians their due right of way on a flashing amber you get some bastard hooting you.

I have to say - motorcyclists are the least likely to jump the ligts for some reason.
