It's like when kids dress up as scientists and they all have Einstein mad hair. It's hard enough to get them interested in science anyway without reinforcing the nerdy, geeky image,

YANBU. Embarrassing and insulting.

I work in life science advertising and it's a constant battle for them to break stereotypes. Not that this is particularly unusual but even getting them to include females or non-whites when portraying scientists is difficult. Never mind using a cartoon like stereotypical image...

I'd like to keep this bumped for a reply.

Have you reported the thread to MNHQ? I know MNHQ & the MN Bloggers representative commented a few days ago, but both replies were a bit dismissive, a bit Customer Services speak, so they might think that's it done & dusted.
