to ask how you dress your babies in this lovely weather?

Lighthearted but I do really want to know!

It's flip flop weather (I think) so today my 11 week old dd was in a lightweight romper suit, sleeveless vest, spf 50 sun hat and socks. She seemed fine and neither too hot nor too cold, her usual jolly, bouncy little self.

When I went to a baby group I was amazed at how many babies were layered up in knitted dresses, furry cardis, tights, etc.

Am I just one of those brits who gets carried away and under-dresses at the first hint of sunshine? Should my dd have been in head to toe knit wear today??

Thanks. I guess it was around 20-22 today here as well.

I never put ds in a cardigan and if I use the sling I don't use a coat either so today was just his normal clothes.

Thanks for all the replies! Sounds like I was one of the reasonable ones at baby grpup. Dd will be wearing much the same tomorrow. I did feel sorry for all the sweaty little ones in their winter warmers! Must be so uncomfortable, not to mention a health hazard.

Now to paint the old toenails so I don't offend anyone!

Where I live (tropics) babies wear nappies and vests that pop at the crotch, bare feet, big cotton hats and snooze under giant muslin shawls that have been dampened with water. When crawling they might wear cotton elastic waisted shorts or leggings to protect knees. That's it.
No sunscreen til after 6 months acc to docs here; just keep them in shade.

I took my 10 week old out in vest, leggings, t-shirt and socks. Then I wrapped her in a blanket because her arms were cold.

14 week old DD in cap sleeve vest and soft jersey dress with sleeves. Bare little feet! I kept checking them as they get cold so easily. Back in her baby grow at 6. The heat of the day is disappearing quickly still.

Never let the sun on her skin when its hot.

I used to put in just a cotton sleepsuit. Approx

30 degrees- just baby vest
25 degrees - just baby sleep suit
20 degrees - baby vest and sleep suit
10 degrees - baby vest, sleep suit and cardigan
Lower - vest, sleepsuit, cardigan, hat and booties

It's about 12 here but was 16 when we wore shorts earlier in the week

My 15 month old wore a short sleeved t-shirt, jeans, socks, shoes and a lightweight jacket.
